Description

This workshop is aimed at front-end developers who want or are required to build simple visualizations for their work. We will go through basic visualization theories, apply them to different chart types, and articulate the right situations to use them. To implement the visualizations, we will learn core D3 concepts, and how to most effectively use them with modern Javascript frameworks.

About the instructor

Shirley is a freelance data visualization designer and engineer, with 6 years of D3.js experience and 4 years of React.js experience. She uses D3 and React together to create highly interactive visualizations that work seamlessly with the rest of the UI, with years of experience developing visualizations for product. She has taught various workshops on D3.js, and has spoken extensively about using D3 and React together.
